Recruitment for The Community Volunteer Level 2 OCN Introduction to Youth Work Course

This course forms part of our Apprenticeship Peace Programme and whilst all applications will be considered, preference will be given to candidates who are currently associated or volunteering with one of our existing partners from across North and West Belfast.

The programme will commence on Thursday 3 November at 7:00pm in our Training and Resource Centre at Farset Enterprise Park. The training will take place on Thursdays between 7-10pm thereafter for 6 weeks and will include a one night residential in Belfast on 2 - 3 December, finishing with portfolio completion on Saturday 14 January 2012.Each candidate must be aged 18 years or above and be volunteering in youth work within North and West Belfast or be willing to carry out a placement in this locality. This programme consists of 30 hours of actual tutor /participant contact time.

In addition, participants will be expected to spend a minimum of 20 hours working with young people in a youth work / youth ministry setting over the duration of the course. This programme is funded through The International Fund for Ireland as part of Youth Links Apprenticeship Peace Programme and there are no costs for participants who meet the aforementioned criteria.
