Aghadowey Presbyterian Church is situated literally in the middle of nowehere. So, I know what you're thinking: desert - complete with tumbleweeds.
 
Well, nothing could be further from the reality.
 
This church is ALIVE. Jesus is working there - and we, as a PCI Summer Outreach Team have been very privileged to take part in it.
 
Last summer we ran a kids' club of 4 sections (4-6's; 7-8's; 9-11's; and Teens). We followed a programme ROCKY'S PLAICE which looked at the Church in Acts. With some fun and real quirkiness thrown into the mix, it created a great atmosphere for the kids to learn about how the Holy Spirit worked back then, and how it is working right now in their own lives. The evenings were taken up with mainly teenage ministry where we looked at the lives of some of our team members and how they've grown as a Christian. One night we even had a Prayer'n'Praise night - which had a great response from the kids and some church members who visited.
 
Our team time was banterful, we had Bible studies together, prayer time with our prayer partners, and just generally chilled out together on our down-time.
 
This summer we will be looking at the whole Bible. The Promises that God made of a Saviour and how it worked out.
 
We hope that if you apply to Aghadowey, you will be open and ready to have your Faith stretched. Be able to let go of yourself and let God take over, and all the while intentionally discipling these young people.
