Mullingar
During the second week of July, 19 people of all ages and from all parts of Ireland descended on Mullingar Presbyterian Church to transform it into Spy Headquarters! At Mission Rescue summer camp, the children heard about God’s rescue plan for the Israelites through Moses, and God’s big rescue plan for us through Jesus. They learnt memory verses, enjoyed wacky quizzes, played games and made crafts to take home. On 2 evenings, we had our very own “Mission Possible!” for teenagers. After some code breaking activities and challenges, we shared the message of how God changed Nicodemus and Paul and how He can change us too.
On the final Saturday, we had a family fun day and barbeque at a local sports ground. We finished the week with parents, friends and the congregation joining us on Sunday for our final morning of Mission Rescue. The team and congregation were greatly encouraged by the 250 children and 25 young people who registered throughout the week. Each child and teenager was given a free copy of Mark’s gospel. Please continue to pray for the work in Mullingar, especially in their future building project.
