"The doorbell went and there they were on my doorstep; two young people with a tattered white envelope in their hands.  “We just thought we’d do a little whip around among us and collect some money for the summer team coming,” they said. They reached it out to me.  As I accepted it I felt the beauty of that moment and then came a few tears... 

The PCI summer team in Woodvale is there to serve and validate young people like this - and communicate to them that God believes in them.  The team will run kids and teens clubs, a footy club and evening drop-in where they'll get to spend time with these young people.  There will also be street reach initiatives aimed at showing God's love to all the people of this community.  The week will culminate in a Woodvale's Got Talent event - where we again hope to call out the best in this community.

There have been ups and downs in serving here, frustrations set aside massive encouragements, but through it all God is unveiling a story of His glory in Woodvale - and each year He shows me how a summer team can be a spark for ministry which doesn’t just last for a week."
